NEW OUTFIT 'SCALE MODEL SCENERY' SUPPLIES DOWNLOADS FOR YOU TO PRINT OUT

The SMN Crew are extremely fond of dioramas, so news that there's a bunch of realistic downloads ready for instant purchase is good news indeed.

In the words of Scale Model Scenery, “Download our kits and print them as many times as you need for your diorama or layout. High-quality scale model buildings and texture papers you can use again and again (for personal use).” Note the “for personal use”, standard practise for this sort of thing - in other words, you don’t take the files and sell them on, which is fair enough.

Photo-realistic art
According to SMC, the ‘kits’ are created using high quality, photo-realistic brick, roofing and paving textures for ultimate realism. Many come with optional or pre-applied weathering effects giving you realistic models in a fraction of the time. Sounds like they have a team of eager-beaver Photoshoppers keen to use the airbrush tool!

Choice of scales
The SMS range is expanding to cover an array of popular scales, so whatever you're modelling, they’ve got you covered - well, that’s the aim, with textures ranging from paving and asphalt to brick, medieval stone and more.

Guaranteed products
Scale Model Scenery back their downloads with a decent (and simple) guarantee - try them for seven days, and if you're not happy, you get your money back.

Ideas welcome
SMS are keen to hear from model makers - if there’s something you would like, let them know, as they’re open to suggestions. Add pix or references to your email request and you stand a fair chance of seeing it appearing in model form to download.

Brains behind the models
Chief designer for SMS is (below) Graham Smith, aka ‘Cut ‘n’ Paste’. He’s a retired teacher and long-time paper modeller from the northwest of England. He regularly posts on the Papermodelers website and is active on other paper modelling forums. As well as buildings for model railways and 1:72 scale military modellers, Graham designs and builds vehicles in 1:100 scale, particularly trucks and buses.

The story so far
Owner and co-designer for SMS is (below) Justin Noble, a keen model rail and radio control car enthusiast. He has experience of retail sales, as well as building model railways and scale models. Justin launched the 'Model Railway Scenery' business in 2009 - it’s now a hugely popular model site, and now the business is expanding into other model zones with the addition of Scale Model Scenery.

Summation
Neatly done products for scale model fans, and well worth a try. The garage scenes take our fancy, while uses for the tarmac textures are near-infinite.
