The UK chain ModelZone has a new catalogue available to view online. According to the front page, “over 130 brands and more than 10,000 products” are available, which sounds good to us. ModelZone stores are fascinating ports of call, but if there isn’t one near you, or you’re not in the UK, then the internet is the place to have a look.
Christmas is coming
ModelZone offers much more than kits and diecasts, and is very strong with its radio-control gear, from tanks and cars to robots and helicopters, with entry-level products being strongly represented. At this time of year, RC makes ModelZone prime Christmas present territory, so all you Dads out there, take note!
Three more Mini-Kits - the plastic podium is a neat option.
Free Airfix Mini-Kits
Hardcopy catalogues are available in stores, but if you buy online there’s a nice little offer from ModelZone, in the form of a free Airfix Mini-Kit, worth £5.99GBP when you spend over £25GBP on any plastic model kit, tools, paints and glues in one transaction. It’s a “while stocks last” offer though, so if you’d like one, jump in soon.
Military mixture
Airfix Mini-Kits are just that, simple stuff in two small scales, 1:100 and 1:144. But these are useful sizes and the aircraft come pre-painted, so require a minimum of extra effort to look reasonably finished and presentable. And if you have airliners in your collection, then a few of these combat machines parked on a diorama airport apron would make a nice visual counterpoint. They wouldn’t look too out of place either, as many countries mix civil and military types at their air bases, or of course you might even be putting on a model air show...
Airfix Mini-Kits available with this offer are:
1:100 scale
Focke Wulf FW190A
Messerschmitt Bf109F
Mitsubishi Zero
P-47 Thunderbolt
P-51D Mustang
1:144 scale
F-14 Tomcat
F-15 Eagle
F-117A Nighthawk
